Rewrite the Rules

So I hope most have you have seen the Dove campaign for #LikeAGirl, if not please look it up in spirit of International Women’s Day today. The video basically shows an experiment proving to us that society has ruined the equality between the actions of both boys and girls and I’ve recently noticed that the only difference between the actions of genders is perception.

When girls wake up in the morning after a night out they call their best friends and get excited over whatever happened. Same goes for guys but they don’t get excited because they’re not that emotional. But apparently when girls and guys try to share this with each other some form of misinterpretation goes on because this is where the standard stereotype that guys always hook up with more people and girls are sluts when they do, ultimately begins.

Is there even a difference? NO. Everyone wants to feel loved, comforted or distracted. Some may regret some things in the morning, but at the end of the day we all feel the same. So why does everyone attempt to look for differences?

Till next time,
